The MasCATS are Here!

We're happy to report that 2009 has been a wonderful year for 

The MasCAT program.  Two businesses have fostered a total

of 7 adult cats (long term residents of Assisi) at their businesses and 5 have found their forever homes.  Program Director Diane Novak

says: "What is so wonderful about the program is that animals who have been passed over for months at the adoption center seem to SHINE in these business settings. By mingling with customers the cats 'market' their special personalities".  While customers shop they are greeted by one or more cats who often time 'select' a patron to ham it up to. Since last year, Birkenstock Shoes has been home to Frita, Pearl, Athena and Nyla and all have found wonderful forever homes.  And Dior is enchanting clients at Renaissance Real Estate on Marshall Avenue as their sweet MasCat. 

Businesses, libraries or schools that participate will be provided with litter boxes and a crate for initial re-homing.  All cats are still under Assisi's auspices so medical care is paid for by Assisi.
