One in three pets will go missing in their lifetime. 80% of these pets are never reunited with their family. By microchipping your pet, they are more likely to make it home to you.
Angels of Assisi wants to make sure every pet that is separated from their owner can be reunited with their family. To increase these chances, Angels of Assisi is holding a low-cost microchip clinic on Saturday, April 24th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Towne Square Petco.
The cost for the service is $5.00 per pet, and no appointment is necessary. Initial chip registration is free.
In addition to microchips, Petco Love is launching Petco Love Lost, a facial recognition software, to further ensure your pet is reunited with you if they are lost. All you have to do is snap a photo of your pet and upload it to the database. If your pet is ever lost, you can check the database to see if there are any pets that match your lost pet.
