  • Angels of Assisi offers diagnostic imaging services for dogs and cats, allowing our veterinary team to evaluate internal organs and the skeletal system through the noninvasive methods listed below.

    Computed Tomography (CT)

CT offers high-resolution, cross-sectional images of a patient’s anatomy. During the scan, a sedated or anesthetized patient lies on the CT table, which passes through the scanner’s circular opening (gantry). An X-ray tube rotates 360 degrees inside the gantry, and detectors capture how the X-rays pass through the body to create detailed images. CT is particularly valuable for evaluating the nasal cavity, chest, abdomen, and specific areas of the musculoskeletal system, though it can provide enhanced detail for most regions of the body.

At Angels of Assisi, we have the NEWTOM 7G VET, the most advanced CBCT device on the market equipped with 2D radiology and serial radiography features.

    Radiography/X-Ray

We are equipped to perform routine radiography (X-ray) services to help diagnose a wide range of illnesses and injuries as well as for dental procedures. Radiographs are a valuable first-line imaging tool that allow veterinarians to quickly evaluate bones, joints, and the chest or abdominal cavity. They are often used to detect fractures, tumors, foreign objects, heart and lung disease, and conditions affecting the gastrointestinal or urinary systems.

    Ultrasound

Ultrasounds allows veterinarians to identify abnormalities in organs. Because the procedure is painless, most patients do not require sedation or anesthesia and tolerate it very well. Our ultrasound service accommodates both large and small dogs and cats.
